Brazil’s government may reduce the goal for its primary budget surplus to boost economic growth, O Estado de S. Paulo reported, without saying how it got the information or providing additional details.
Separately, President Dilma Rousseff will announce next week a cut in electricity costs of at least 10 percent, the Sao Paulo-based newspaper said. She also wants to create subsidies for regional airports, according to Estado.
