Moscow Region Seeks $5.2 Billion to Build Roads, Vedomosti Says

Moscow Region Governor Sergei Shoigu asked President Vladimir Putin for as much as 170 billion rubles ($5.2 billion) to build roads in the region, Vedomosti reported.

Putin’s ally Shoigu has asked for about $15 billion in federal funds since taking over the Moscow Region in April, the newspaper said.
