Euro Advances Against Dollar; Strengthens 0.2% to $1.2531

The euro advanced against the dollar, strengthening 0.2 percent to $1.2531 at 9:49 a.m. London time.

Europe’s shared currency was little changed at 98.40 yen, after depreciating as much as 0.4 percent earlier.
