Dollar Stays Weaker Against Euro After Bernanke Comments

The dollar stayed weaker against the euro after Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke said he won’t rule out further asset purchases.
The dollar was 0.7 percent weaker at $1.2598 at 10:02 a.m. New York time, after weakening as much as 1 percent to $1.2628 earlier. The U.S. currency was 0.1 percent weaker at 78.52 yen.
