Greece’s Energy Ministry will name next week a company, or possibly two, chosen to conduct seismic surveys for oil and natural gas in the Ionian Sea and south of Crete, Imerisia reported, without citing anyone.
The company or companies will be chosen from four of the original eight that submitted applications to conduct the surveys, the newspaper said. The four are: TGS-Nopec Geophysical Co. ASA (TGS), Petroleum Geo-Services ASA (PGS), Spectrum Geo Ltd. and ION Geophysical Corp. (IO), Imerisia said.
