Andy Roddick Reaches U.S. Open Second Round in Straight Sets

Former champion Andy Roddick beat qualifier Rhyne Williams in straight sets to reach the second round of the U.S. Open in New York.
Roddick, the Grand Slam tournament winner in 2003, beat Williams 6-3, 6-4, 6-4 in a meeting of American players on the National Tennis Center’s main court.
