Murphy Oil to Shut and Evacuate ThunderHawk, Medusa, FrontRunner
Murphy Oil Co. (MUR) said today that it has shut in and is evacuating its ThunderHawk facility in the Gulf of Mexico due to the approach of Tropical Storm Isaac, and will evacuate additional facilities tomorrow.
“ThunderHawk is now shut in with all crews being evacuated today,” said Barry Jeffery, a spokesman for the company, in an e-mail today. “Medusa and FrontRunner will be shut down and evacuated on Monday.”
