TNK-BP’s Rospan Unit Wins Taymyr Field for $26 Million, RIA Says

TNK-BP’s Rospan International natural-gas unit won the rights to a deposit in the Taymyr region with a bid of almost 815 million rubles ($26 million), RIA Novosti said, citing Russia’s Federal Subsoil Resources Agency.

Rospan agreed to pay 181 times more than the starting price for the Salpadayakhsky block, which may hold 3.5 million metric tons of oil and 32.3 billion cubic meters of gas resources, the news service said.
