Buenos Aires Seeks $216 Million Loan From Brazil, Cronista Says

The city of Buenos Aires is seeking approval from the local legislature to take a loan of about $216 million from Brazil’s development bank BNDES to acquire 120 new subway cars, newspaper El Cronista said.
The city will acquire the rolling stock from Alstom Brasil Energia e Transporte Ltda., the Buenos Aires-based newspaper cited Rogelio Frigerio, the president of the city legislature’s budget commission, as saying.
