Baseball Union Head Weiner Is Being Treated for Brain Tumor

Michael Weiner, the head of the Major League Baseball Players Association, is being treated for a brain tumor, the union said in a statement.

Weiner, 50, began what is expected to be a month of treatment yesterday and will work out of the union’s New York office on a daily basis, according to the statement. It didn’t give any details on the illness.
