The Boston Red Sox defeated the New York Yankees 4-1 in the second game of the three-game series at Yankee Stadium.
Adrian Gonzalez hit a two-run homer in the first inning as the Red Sox held the lead throughout the Major League Baseball game.
Curtis Granderson hit a solo home run in the fourth inning for the American League-leading Yankees.
The teams have split the series with the final game scheduled tomorrow.
