Copper gained in London on speculation about monetary easing in China, boosting demand for industrial metals.

-- Aluminum fell 0.1 percent to $1,835 a ton. RSI 39.
-- Nickel advanced 0.4 percent to $15,358 a ton. RSI 40
-- Lead gained 0.5 percent to $1,832 a ton. RSI 41.
-- Tin was up 1 percent at $18,200 a ton. RSI 49.
-- Zinc dropped 0.3 percent to $1,795 a ton. RSI 40.
