Olympic Track Medalist Demps Chases NFL Career, NFL.com Reports

Jeff Demps will pursue a National Football League career after winning a silver medal in the Olympic 400-meter relay in London, NFL.com reported.

Demps, who participated in track and football at the University of Florida, filed the paperwork to become an unrestricted free agent, NFL.com said.

As a Gator, Demps won National Collegiate Athletic Association titles in the 60 meters indoors and 100 meters outdoors, NFL.com said. As a member of the football team, he had 2,470 rushing yards and 43 touchdowns.
