India’s Malabar Cements Seeks 12,000 Tons of Thermal Coal

Malabar Cements Ltd. is seeking to buy 12,000 metric tons of thermal coal, according to a document on its website.

The state-owned cement maker based in Kerala is seeking coal with 5,500 kilocalories per kilogram on an air-dried basis, 12 percent maximum total moisture, 23 percent maximum ash and 1 percent maximum sulfur to be delivered at the port of Cochin, according to the tender document. Bids will be opened Sept. 5.
