Russia’s VSMPO Eyes Ukraine’s Titanium Makers, Vedomosti Reports

OAO VSMPO-Avisma, the world’s largest titanium producer, is interested in acquiring state- owned Ukrainian rivals that are being sold to investors, Vedomosti reported, citing Mikhail Voevodin, the Russian company’s chief executive officer.

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych gave clearance last month to share sales by state-run titanium makers including Crimea Titan and Zaporizh Titanium & Magnesium Works, the newspaper said.
