Kuo Sees 50-50 Odds of Calling Its 2017 Dollar Bonds in October

The chances of Grupo Kuo SAB (KUOB) exercising an option to call its 2017 dollar bonds in October are “50-50,” said Luis Eduardo Diaz, the financing manager at the Mexican auto-parts producer.

“We’ve been evaluating the market and we’ve seen bonds coming out with good, attractive coupons,” Diaz said in a telephone interview Aug. 10 from Queretaro, Mexico. “We’ve been looking at our alternatives, but we haven’t decided if we’re going to do something or not this year.

The Mexico City-based company has to decide if it wants to call the bond by the end of this month in order to have sufficient time to line up a new bond sale, he said.
