Argentina Mortgage Loans Fall on Dollar Restriction, Ambito Says

Argentina’s mortgage loans fell 60 percent from a year earlier as the government tightened restrictions to buy dollars, newspaper Ambito Financiero reported, without saying where it got the information.

The drop in mortgages follows a 70 percent decline in real estate transactions as most of them are conducted in dollars instead of pesos, the Buenos Aires-based newspaper said.
