Cameron Says to Extend Olympic Sports Funding to 2016 Rio Games

U.K. Prime Minister David Cameron said government funding of elite sports will continue at a level of 125 million pounds ($196 million) a year until the Rio Olympic Games in 2016.

Cameron told the BBC the U.K.’s performance during the London games over the past two weeks had “lifted the whole country.”
