U.K. Stocks Pare Advance; Amec, BT Group, Capita Retreat

Most U.K. shares rose as the FTSE 100 Index advanced 0.1 percent to 5,850.01 at 8:34 a.m. in London.

Standard Chartered Plc, Glencore International Plc and Randgold Resources Ltd. paced advances as Amec Plc and BT Group Plc lead decliners.
