Kyocera, Century Tokyo Leasing to Develop Solar Power Stations

Kyocera Corp. (6971), a Japanese solar-panel maker, and Century Tokyo Leasing Co. (8439) will set up a solar power plant joint venture in Japan with a plan to bring 70 megawatts of capacity under development in the next three years.

The venture, with Century Tokyo taking an 81 percent stake and Kyocera the rest, will begin developing 35 megawatts of power stations by March 2013, the two said today in a statement.
