CNPC in Talks With Lukoil on West Qurna-2, Nefte Compass Says

China National Petroleum Corp. is in talks with OAO Lukoil about joining the Russian company’s West Qurna-2 project in Iraq, Nefte Compass reported, without citing anyone.

Lukoil is seeking a partner for a 30 percent stake in the project following Statoil ASA (STL)’s exit, Nefte Compass said, citing Andrei Kuzyaev, head of Lukoil Overseas.
