Claressa Shields of the U.S. Wins Olympic Gold in Women’s Boxing

Claressa Shields, 17, of the U.S. won the boxing gold medal in the women’s middleweight division at the Olympics.
She beat Nadezda Torlopova of Russia on points in the final in London. Women’s boxing is making its debut as an Olympic sport.
