Egypt’s Meditrade Said to Buy 26,000 Tons Sunflower Oil

Meditrade, a private Egyptian commodity trader, bought 26,000 metric tons of sunflower oil and 18,000 tons of soybean oil at a tender today, according to two traders involved.
The company purchased 20,000 tons of sunflower oil at $1,207 a ton from Glencore International and 6,000 tons from Quadra at $1,207.20 a ton, the traders said. They spoke on condition of anonymity because they aren’t authorized to comment to the media. Meditrade bought 10,000 tons of soybean oil from Alex Seeds and 8,000 tons from Wataneya, both at 7,350 Egyptian pounds ($1,209) a ton, they said.
