Saudis to Build New Industrial City for Women, Eqtisadiah Says

Saudi Arabia will build an industrial city in the Eastern city of Hafuf that will mainly employ women, al-Eqtisadiah reported, citing Saleh al-Rasheed, acting director general of the industrial cities authority.
The new city is under design and construction will be tendered next year, al-Rasheed told the newspaper. The city is expected to attract 500 million riyals ($133 million) in investments and it will create 5,000 jobs for women in industries such as textiles, pharmaceuticals and food processing.
