Egypt Telecom Regulator to Meet on New License Plan, Borsa Says

Egypt’s National Telecommunication Regulatory Authority will hold a board meeting to finalize its plan to offer a mobile virtual network operator license, Al Borsa newspaper reported, citing Executive President Amr Badawi.

The board will meet to determine rules for pricing and timing of the license, which would allow its holder to offer mobile phone services using an existing operator’s network, the Cairo-based daily said. The paper did not say when the meeting would be held.
