Urbi to Hire Bain & Co., Boston Consulting to Improve Operations

Urbi Desarrollos Urbanos SAB, Mexico’s third-largest homebuilder by sales, said it’s hiring Bain & Co. and Boston Consulting Group Inc. to help it analyze its business processes and portfolio.

The consulting companies are starting work with Urbi this quarter, Selene Avalos, Urbi’s chief financial officer, said in a telephone interview from Mexicali, Mexico. In addition to evaluating its geographic presence, Urbi is also trying to streamline its relationship with mortgage providers, she said.
