Goldman Sachs, SocGen Picked by Italy to Help on Asset Sales

Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (GS) and Societe Generale SA (GLE) were selected by the Italian Treasury to give valuations to state-run companies that the government is considering selling.
Goldman Sachs will evaluate Fintecna SpA and Paris-based Societe Generale will look at Sace SpA and Simest SpA, the Treasury said today in an e-mailed statement.
