Osborne Welcomes Investment in East London Technology Hub

Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne welcomed investment by Vodafone Group Plc (VOD), Central Working, Gree Inc. and Barclays Plc (BARC) in an East London technology hub.

“We are pulling out all the stops,” Osborne will tell a high-tech conference in London today, according to remarks released by his office. “You will not find a government anywhere that is more supportive.”

Vodafone will create a technology laboratory, Central Working and Barclays will create a company that supports business startups while Japan’s Gree will locate to the London hub called Tech City, the Treasury said.
