Drought to Persist in U.S. Midwest Through October, U.S. Says
Aug. 2 (Bloomberg) --Drought across the Midwest is expected to persist through October and spread in parts of North Dakota and Texas, according to the U.S. Climate Prediction Center’s drought outlook.
The outlook, issued today, also said conditions may improve in eastern Ohio and Michigan and across the Southwest. Parts of Georgia, Alabama and South Carolina may also see improvement, said the center in Camp Springs, Maryland.
