Saudi Arabia to Halt Exports of Vegetables and Fruit, Okaz Says

Saudi Arabia will halt by mid- September exports of fruit and vegetables grown on open land, in a move to conserve water, Okaz reported, citing Abdullah al- Obaid, the deputy agriculture minister.

The ministry gave exporters five years’ notice of the ban, al-Obaid told the newspaper.
