Russia’s Milner Sets Up $3 Million Physics Prize, Vedomosti Says

Russian billionaire Yuri Milner founded an annual prize for advances in physics and allied fields with awards exceeding those of the Nobel Prize, Vedomosti said, citing a statement from Milner’s charity fund.

The Fundamental Physics Prize Foundation, the board of which includes Milner himself and Nobel Prize-winning physicist Steven Weinberg, will award a prize worth $3 million and give three others worth $100,000 each to young scientists, the newspaper reported.
