Egypt’s Mursi Pardones 26 Islamists, al-Masry al-Youm Says

Egyptian President Mohamed Mursi pardoned 26 Islamists jailed for militant acts before the ouster of Hosni Mubarak, the independent daily Al Masry Al Youm reported.

Those released on July 26 include members of al-Gama’a al- Islamiya and Islamic Jihad, the Cairo-based paper said today.
