Algerian Car Imports Rose 49% in First Half of 2012, APS Reports

Algeria’s car imports climbed 49 percent to 263,787 vehicles in the first half of 2012 from 176,901 a year earlier, the state-run APS news agency reported today, citing the customs authority.
The value of the auto imports also rose 49 percent to 233.6 billion Algerian dinars ($2.83 billion) from 157.2 billion dinars in the first half of 2011, according to customs data.
