Majority of Germans Polled Want Greece to Leave Euro, Bild Says

A majority of Germans in a poll by the Emnid research institute want Greece to leave the euro area if the country doesn’t stick to its adjustment program, Bild newspaper reported.

About 71 percent of those surveyed are in favor of Greece quitting the monetary union if reforms aren’t implemented, and 51 percent said Germany would be better off without the euro, the newspaper said. Emnid surveyed 500 people on July 26, according to the report.
