Oil Pares Gain, Heads for First Decline in Three Weeks

Crude oil pared gains in New York and was headed for its first weekly decline since the period ended July 6.

Oil for September delivery was up 8 cents at $89.47 a barrel in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange at 9:52 a.m. London after rising as much as 0.9 percent to $90.23. The contract is down 2.2 percent this week.
