U.K.’s Hague Welcomes Appointment of Egyptian Prime Minister

U.K. Foreign Secretary William Hague said the British government welcomed the recent appointment by Egyptian President Mohamed Mursi of Dr. Hisham Qandil as Prime Minister, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office said in an e- mailed statement today.
“It is an important milestone in Egypt’s transition to full civilian, democratic rule,” Hague said in the statement.
