Hamels Agrees to $144 Million Deal With Phillies, USA Today Says

The Philadelphia Phillies agreed to a six-year contract worth $144 million with starting pitcher Cole Hamels, USA Today reported, citing a person with direct knowledge of the negotiations.

The team has scheduled an afternoon news conference, the newspaper said.
