Japan Has Two Reactors With 5% of Total Capacity Online
Japan has two of its 50 reactors operating with a capacity of 2,360 megawatts, or 5 percent of the total, according to data compiled by Bloomberg News.
Kansai Electric Power Co. (9503) resumed the No. 4 unit at its Ohi nuclear power plant in western Japan’s Fukui prefecture last week and started power generation at the unit on July 21. The following table shows the status of the 50 reactors with capacity of 46,148 megawatts operated by Japanese power companies. Capacity figures are in megawatts.
