Aquatech Wins Wastewater Facility Contract for U.S. Power Plant

Aquatech International Corp., a water purification technology provider, won a contract in Mississippi for an integrated gasification combined-cycle power plant that emits no processed wastewater in the environment.

No terms were disclosed for the water treatment and wastewater treatment facilities for the power plant owned by Mississippi Power Co. near De Kalb, the Canonsburg, Pennsylvania-based company said. Aquatech said in a statement today that the zero liquid discharge system to be used at the site is the “most environmentally friendly option for supplying water to the Kemper County” facility.
