Saudi King Calls for Islamic Solidarity Meeting, SPA Reports

Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah has called for an extraordinary Islamic solidarity meeting to be held in Mecca, the official Saudi Press Agency said, citing a statement by Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal.
The meeting at the end of Ramadan will promote unity at this “delicate time” of the “possibilities of fragmentation and discord” in the Muslim world, the news service reported Prince Saud as saying.
