Scott Leads Woods by One Stroke in Opening Round of British Open

Adam Scott has a one-stroke lead over Tiger Woods in the opening round of golf’s British Open.

Scott birdied the 11th through 13th holes to reach 5 under par at Royal Lytham & St. Annes in Lancashire, England. Woods, seeking his first major title in four years, has four birdies and no bogeys through 10 holes.

Masters champion Bubba Watson and former major winners Paul Lawrie, Zach Johnson and Graeme McDowell are tied for third at 3 under.
