Ukraine exported about 402,000 metric tons of grains from ports so far this month, agricultural researcher UkrAgroConsult said, citing market participants.
Ukraine shipped 126,700 tons of wheat, 3,000 tons of barley and 272,500 tons of corn, the Kiev-based researcher said today by e-mail, citing preliminary data. Wheat was exported to Syria, Kenya and Israel, corn was shipped to the European Union, Egypt and Tunisia, while barley was delivered to Libya.
The former Soviet state will export 260,000 tons of grains in the near future, UkrAgroConsult said.
Ukraine also exported 78,300 tons of sunflower oil in the July 1-17 period, mainly to Iran, the researcher said.
