Franklin Templeton Investments Appoints Adam Quaife as Director

Franklin Resources Inc. (BEN), the manager of the Franklin and Templeton mutual funds, appointed Adam Quaife as senior director for central and eastern Europe and the Middle East for Franklin Templeton Investments.

Quaife, who joined Franklin Templeton’s institutional business in 2002, will be based in Dubai and report to Vivek Kudva, Franklin Templeton Investments’ managing director for India and CEEMEA, according to an e-mailed statement from Dubai. His appointment is effective August 1.

Quaife replaces Andrew Ashton, who will be relocating to San Mateo, California in early August to take up a newly-created role as head of the firm’s international consultant and research group, the company said in a statement.
