Egyptian Train Cars Derail, Catch Fire on Cairo Outskirts

A train coming from southern Egypt derailed on the outskirts of Cairo, leaving at least four injured, the state-run Middle East News Agency reported. Ameen Abdel-Monein, the head of the Giza security directorate’s media division, earlier said by phone that 11 had been injured.

Abdel-Moneim said five of the train’s cars derailed and a fire broke out following the incident. Al-Jazeera reported earlier that two trains had collided.
