Thailand Stocks: Country Group, Golden Land, Quality Houses

Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Thailand trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the close in Bangkok.

The SET Index (SET) rose 0.3 percent to 1,214.25, the highest close since May 8.

Country Group Securities Pcl (CGS) , a stock brokerage, gained 1.1 percent to 0.89 baht. The company expects higher net income in 2012 on increased brokerage fees, Chief Executive Officer Prasit Srisuwan told reporters in Bangkok today.

Golden Land Property Development Pcl (GOLD) , a property developer, dropped 2.5 percent to 5.80 baht, the lowest close since July 5. Investors are required to pay cash upfront before placing orders to buy the company’s shares, the Stock Exchange of Thailand said in a statement.

Quality Houses Pcl (QH) , a property developer, advanced 3.4 percent to 1.83 baht, the highest level since June 6. The company received higher bookings than the amount available for its 3.36 billion-baht ($106 million) property fund, it said in an e-mailed statement.

Tisco Financial Group Pcl (TISCO) , a financial company, rose 1.9 percent to 39.75 baht, the highest close since April 30. The company raised its lending growth estimate for 2012 to as much as 20 percent from 15 percent, Chief Executive Officer Oranuch Apisaksirikul told reporters in Bangkok today.
