Mauritius Parliament Speaker May Become President, Week-End Says

Mauritian Parliament Speaker Kailash Purryag will probably be named president, replacing Anerood Jugnauth, Week-End reported.
Razack Peeroo may replace Purryag as speaker of the national assembly, the Port Louis-based weekly said, citing unidentified government officials. Subash Gobine, director of communication at the prime minister’s office, declined to comment when contacted on his mobile phone.
