David Ferrer Beats Almagro in Straight Sets to Win Swedish Open

David Ferrer beat Spanish compatriot Nicolas Almagro 6-2, 6-2 in the final of tennis’s ATP Swedish Open to win the event for the second time.
The victory on clay gave world No. 5 Ferrer a fifth title this year. He was the top seed in Bastad and reached the quarterfinals at Wimbledon earlier this month.
Janko Tipsarevic of Serbia defeated Juan Monaco of Argentina 6-4, 5-7, 6-3 in the final of the ATP Mercedes Cup in Stuttgart, Germany.
