Blackstone, Bain Capital May Bid for RBS Unit, Sunday Times Says

Blackstone Group LP (BX) and Bain Capital Partners LLC are preparing to bid for Royal Bank of Scotland Group Plc (RBS)’s Direct Line Insurance Plc unit at the end of July, the Sunday Times reported, citing people it didn’t identify.
KKR & Co., Apax Partners LLP and BC Partners Ltd. are also considering a bid, the newspaper reported.
