Russia Posts 6-Month Budget Surplus of 247.4 Billion Rubles

Russia’s federal budget had a surplus of 247.4 billion rubles ($7.56 billion) in the first six months of the year, equivalent to 0.9 percent of gross domestic product, the Finance Ministry said on its website today.
Revenue in the period was 6.199 trillion rubles, and spending was 5.952 trillion rubles, the ministry’s data show.
