Italy’s Gasoline Demand Drops 6.9% in June, Ministry Data Show

Italy’s gasoline consumption dropped 6.9 percent in June versus a year earlier, according to data from the Ministry of Economic Development.

Use of the motor fuel fell to 771,000 metric tons last month, down from 828,000 tons a year earlier, the data shows.

Diesel and gasoil demand fell 6.8 percent to 2.33 million tons, according to the data. The country’s total fuels demand declined 8.4 percent to 5.48 million tons, the data shows.
